This project involved linking the existing occupied Wattle and Bottle Brush accommodation wings with a new kitchen and common areas along with the extension and modification of the existing building to provide sixteen additional beds.
Due to the nature of working in and around an operational aged care facility there were many challenges during construction. The primary focus throughout the project was always the safety and comfort of residents and staff. Staging the works to minimise interruption to general activities along with detailed planning and daily conversations with operational staff ensured minimal disruption to residents.
